Art projects that involve houses:
- Gordon Matta-Clark, Splitting (1974): The artist split a residential house in half.
- Kate Ericson and Mel Ziegler, Eminent Domain (2000): The pair painted the house in camouflage colors using samples from all the common house paint colors available. The irony is that it stands out rather than blends in.
- Do Ho Suh, The Perfect Home II (2003): The artist wanted to be able to pick up his home and carry it with him. What better way than to make a foldible replica?

- Agnes Bolt, Dealing (2011): A signed contract between the performance artist and art collector Philippa Hughes. Bolt spent a week inside a bubble in Hughe's home and displayed the documentation the in an exhibition at the gallery Project 4.
